Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Manchester United football club is returning to Asia this summer for a pre-season tour. The Red Devils have recently lifted their third consecutive Premier League title. Manchester United last played here in 2001, and this will mark their third trip to Kuala Lumpur.
Ticketpro Malaysia has been appointed as the official Ticketing Agent for this exciting and prestigious football event of the year in Malaysia. Fans from Malaysia and around the region will be thrilled for this opportunity to see the Champions live in Kuala Lumpur. Manchester United's 1st team will be playing the Malaysian Selection at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, 18 July 2009 and kick off is at 5.30pm.
According to Mr. Julian Kam, CEO of ProEvents International Sdn. Bhd. and FIFA Match Agent, “ProEvents, as the sole and exclusive overall tour organizer of the Manchester United Asia Tour 2009, has appointed Ticketpro Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. as the Ticketing Agent for the Manchester United Match here (in Kula Lumpur).” There is going to be an MU Fan zone where fans – local and foreign – can experience some real treats. Fans are encouraged to get their tickets early to avoid disappointment as they expect a sell-out game.
According to Manchester United Chief Executive, David Gill in a press statement, he said: "We are delighted to be coming back to Asia for our summer tour. The passion and excitement of the game has to be experienced to be believed…”
The Tour, kicks off in Kuala Lumpur on 18th July, moves on to Jakarta on 20th July, and on to Seoul, Korea and Hangzhou, China on 24th July and 26th July respectively.
